They are yummy but I ended up using a lot more of the wet ingredients then the packet said otherwise they were just dry and crumbled. Much better once they were more “wet”
Thank you so much for your honest review. We are really pleased to hear you’re enjoying our Caramel Biscott Treats and appreciate you sharing your thoughts with us!
In regards to the dryness you experienced, this particular flavour is supposed to be a little bit crumbly to give it a biscuit kind of texture, but if you use some extra force when pressing them together, they should bind and keep their ball shape. But, by the sounds of it, something might not have gone to plan with measuring out the liquids.
We have found that there are inconsistencies between measuring devices which can cause the dryness you experienced. First of all, an eating or dessert spoon doesn’t always hold enough liquid to keep the clean treats moist. Secondly, there are many different versions of what a measuring tablespoon is. For example, in America a tablespoon is 15 mL, in the UK a tablespoon is just over 14 mL and in Australia, they’re equal to 20 mL. This can cause a lot of confusion because Australian retailers import most of their measuring devices from overseas, without checking the mL per tablespoon. As a result, if you happen to have a US or UK tablespoon at home, you’d essentially need to use an extra tablespoon of each mix in to get the right consistency!
We really hope this is able to provide some clarity and help you get the absolute most out of all your future clean treats.
