We are so excited here at Morlife to release our Certified Organic Turmeric Powder! Traditionally used for 4000 years for its amazing benefits, Turmeric naturally contains antioxidants and is highly versatile! To celebrate, we’ve put together a list of ways to incorporate turmeric into your life to get the most out of it!
Make your very own turmeric broth which is jam packed full of goodness including antioxidants. To make this flavoursome creation, simply place 4 cups of reduced salt vegetable broth, 1 tsp. Morlife Certified Organic Turmeric Powder, 3 cloves minced garlic, 1 tbsp. grated ginger, 1 tbsp. apple cider vinegar, 1 tbsp extra virgin oil and ½ tsp. of cumin, black pepper and salt in a saucepan. Simmer the mixture for 5 minutes then blend with soup mixer and enjoy!
For glowing and radiant skin, add a dash of turmeric powder in your face mask.
In bowl mix together 1 tsp. milk, 1 tsp. honey and ¼ tsp of Morlife Certified Organic Turmeric Powder and apply on clean skin. Leave for 5-10 mins before washing off.
(Don’t worry about staining your skin as turmeric is only used in a small amount combined with other ingredients)
Make your own spice mix
Give an exciting burst of flavour to your cooking by creating your own spice mix with turmeric powder. Combine ½ cup paprika, ¼ cup cumin, 1 tbsp. fennel powder, 2 tbsp. ground mustard powder, 1 tbsp. chili powder, 3 tbsp. ground coriander, ¼ cup Morlife Certified Organic Turmeric Powder and 1 tsp. cinnamon powder. Mix ingredients together and store in an air-tight container. This little creation is perfect to use as a meat marinade or added to vegetables, soups or curries.
Boost your smoothies
Try something different by adding ½ tsp of Turmeric powder into your morning smoothies. Blend 1 cup coconut milk with ½ cup frozen pineapple, ½ orange, ½ tsp Morlife Certified Organic Turmeric Powder, ½ tsp black pepper, 1 tsp. Morlife Certified Organic Maca Powder and enjoy!
Move aside nut butters! Golden Paste is the new craze now which packs in nutritional goodness and flavour. Simply place 1 cup of water and ½ cup Morlife Certified Organic Turmeric Powder in a small saucepan over medium heat, stirring constantly until you have a thick paste. Remove from the heat and add 1/3 cup coconut oil, 1 ½ tsp. ground black pepper and 1 tsp. of ginger powder and cinnamon. Allow to cool before placing in a glass jar and store in the fridge for up to 2 weeks. Perfect in smoothies, warm milk or used as a spread on toast or rice cakes!
