Increase your energy levels naturally

In today’s modern day life we are constantly busy and can often feel stressed or run down with a lack of energy. We’ve put together a few helpful tips to take on board to help increase your energy levels naturally. With these handy suggestions, you’ll be able to take on all your daily tasks with ease!

Exercising

Exercising is the best way to get your body moving and release some feel good endorphins! Physical activity provides oxygen to the blood cells and helps refuel your body’s energy levels allowing you tackle the tasks ahead with ease!

Relaxing

This is one of the most important things you can do. Taking time out to relax allows yourself to recharge and take a break from life's busy tasks! Whether it be listening to music, reading a book or going for a walk, allowing this time of zen will definitely help with naturally increasing your energy levels.

Stay away from high sugar processed foods

Indulging in sugar rich sweets may seem like a good idea at the time for an energy rush, but you’re just going to end up with that horrible sugar crash leading you to feel more tired and sluggish. Instead, opt for foods naturally high in iron and magnesium which are necessary for energy metabolism. Instead of reaching for the sugar, have a handful of nuts or a piece of dark chocolate. Or, combine the two with our dark chocolate coated almondsmacadamias or sacha inchi seeds!

Hydrate

One of the best and easiest ways to increase your energy levels, naturally. Insufficient water intake can leave you feeling drained and fatigued. It’s important to keep hydrated throughout the day in order for your body to function efficiently! Keep a 2L water bottle near by and set yourself a goal to finish it by the end of the night!

Limit Caffeine

I bet you probably didn’t expect to see this one on the list! Rather than increasing energy levels, caffeine is a stimulant, acting on the central nervous system. Over use of caffeine can lead to restlessness and insomnia, leading to lack of sleep which certainly won’t help with your energy levels!

Sleep!

Getting enough sleep is critical for general health and wellness. When we sleep, it gives the body a chance to repair and revitalise. Lack of sleep can lead to poor concentration and low energy levels. The use of electronic devises such as smart phones or computers is also a big no no as it impacts your sleep pattern. Try reading a book or magazine to unwind before going to sleep.
