Very Merry Vegan Gummies

 

Vegan gummies. Yes, VEGAN gummies! They exist, and they’re crazy good. Enjoy handfuls of these gelatin-less little gems with this festive AF recipe that’ll brighten up your Christmas spread and delight both kiddies and adults alike. 



Ingredients 


Green Gummies


Handful of spinach

1 cup apple juice

1 serve Morlife Greens Kidz

2 tbsp white sugar or agave syrup

2 tbsp agar agar powder


Red Gummies


1 tsp Morlife Certified Organic Beetroot Powder

1 cup apple juice

2 tbsp white sugar or agave syrup

2 tbsp agar agar powder


Method


  1. Start by placing any molds you want to use for your vegan gummies into the freezer to chill them so the candies can set faster.
  2. Blend the fruits/vegetables with apple juice in a blender until smooth.
  3. Strain with a fine-mesh sieve, using a spoon to press the liquid from the pulp.
  4. In a small saucepan, whisk together the strained liquid with the Greens Kidz (for the green gummies), sweetener and agar-agar powder.
  5. Bring this to a simmer while stirring constantly. Simmer for 3 minutes while whisking to avoid lumps.
  6. Remove the mixture from the heat and allow to cool slightly. Then, using a dropper, fill the molds with the liquid and place it in the fridge for 30 mins to 1 hour.
