Spookify your Halloween festivities with this devilish fruit mocktail with a dark twist. Rimmed with blood-red sugar crystals, and housing a deceptively sweet mixture of pineapple and lime, this makes for a dark and stormy evening sip.
INGREDIENTS
3 cups pineapple juice
¾ cup fresh lime juice
Dash of club soda
1 tsp Activated Charcoal
Blackberry garnish
¼ cup sugar
1 tsp Morlife Certified Organic Beetroot Powder
METHOD
1. Mix together 1 tbsp. water and
Morlife® Certified Organic Beetroot Powder to make a paste. Coat sugar in the red mixture. Place dyed sugar on a plate, moisten rims of two martini glasses or glass of choice with lime juice, and roll in sugar to apply to rim. If you have trouble making it stick, you can also use
egg whites. They act as a sticky glue, and keep the sugar sealed to the rim of the glass.
2. Fill your glass with ice to get it nice and cool.
3. In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, shake together the pineapple and lime juice. Strain into your glass.
4. Add more ice if needed, then top with a splash of club soda and garnish with blackberries, and spooky spider props if desired.
