Just not for me - sorry guys
I wanted to love this and had high hopes as a sugar replacement, with none of the usual nasties. It has great reviews so it may just be that this isn't for my particular taste buds - everyone else seems to like it. I used a tiny amount to sweeten my coffee but unfortunately I just didn't like the flavour - it was a very strange bitter sweet and overwhelmed the coffee. I was very careful to use the correct amount, so maybe my tastes are just a bit unusual. I'm sure this will be great for many people - I wish it was for me too because the benefits are brilliant. I wouldn't recommend this product based on my personal tastes, but please just try it yourself - you might love it!
Hey Jennie! Thank you so much for your honest review, we really appreciate you sharing your thoughts with us. We’d also like to take this opportunity to share a little of our knowledge! Monk fruit can be tricky at first as there’s a misconception that it’s a sugar replacement like stevia. Our monk fruit is a juice powder and works best when mixed with other components such as in cooking, baking and beverages where there is existing sweetness (e.g. fruit) for the powder to enhance. So when we talk about adding monk fruit on its own into coffee it unfortunately won’t taste too great. Another tactic is to start by first reducing your sugar intake so say replacing 1 tsp of sugar with the equivalent of monk fruit while keeping 1 tsp of sugar to give yourself a chance to adjust. So don’t give up hope just yet! We definitely recommended experimenting a little more so you can find a way to enjoy this product and reap the benefits! We hope this helps and thanks again Jennie!
