Whether its at an event, at a store tasting or in the office, this Double Chocolate Cacao Plantiful Protein Ball recipe is loved everywhere we go and never fails to get someone asking where they can find the recipe. Well, we finally got a moment to shoot these tasty clean treats so you can now make them yourself at home!

These delicious protein balls make the perfect snack for on the go or for that mid afternoon chocolate craving! Packed with the goodness from coconut, almonds, chia seeds and of course Morlife’s Plantiful Protein they will definitely keep you going!, These oh-so-satisfying protein balls also contain medjool dates, almond butter and maple syrup for that deliciously chocolatey smooth texture! Dusted with our Certified Organic Cacao Powder, you’re going to be in absolute heaven!
To start, you’ll need to blend all the ingredients in a food processor until the mixture starts to stick. If you find the contents too dry, just add a dash of water. Once the mixture resembles a delicious chocolate dough, you'll be able to start rolling your bliss balls! A good way to test this is to squeeze some of the mix in the palm of your hands. If the mix sticks together then you know you've got the right consistency and they won't crumble apart when you roll.
Add your leftover Organic Cacao Powder into a separate bowl and simply roll each ball into the bowl so that they’re lightly dusted in Cacao powder. If you wanted to experiment, you could roll them in other toppings like extra chia seeds, hemp seeds (for even more protein), or desiccated coconut. Repeat this process for all of them. You can store them in the fridge in an airtight container for up to a week….if they even last that long ;)
DOUBLE CHOCOLATE CACAO PROTEIN BALLS
PREP TIME: 15 mins
MAKES: 10-12 protein balls
½ cup desiccated coconut
½ cup natural almonds
10 medjool dates
6 tbsp almond butter
3 tbsp maple syrup
2 tbsp Morlife Certified Organic Cacao Powder (plus extra for coating)
2 tbsp Morlife Organic Cacao Nibs
STEP BY STEP
- Blend all ingredients in a food processor until mixture starts to bind together. If you find the mixture a little dry, add a small dash of water.
- Form into approximately 3cm balls. Dust in extra cacao powder and place in the fridge for at least 30 minutes to firm.
- Keep refrigerated in an air tight container for up to one week.
