This Fact Will Make You Rethink What You Put On Your Lips
Did you know the average woman will eat roughly 3 kg of lipstick in her lifetime! When you consider the calibre of ingredients that some cosmetic brands use for their lipsticks including ingredients that you can't pronounce without getting tongue tied, then this statistic is a huge cause of concern! Now that we’ve got your attention, we’ll let you know that this Beet Balm is 100% natural with no nasties in there (although we still don’t suggest consuming it!).
To give your lips a beautiful and natural pink tint, we’ve used our Certified Organic Beetroot Powder. You can add more or less beetroot depending on how dark you want the colour to be.
*note, it may seem dark when you mix it up but when you place it in the fridge to set the colour will lighten a lot.
Coconut oil and beeswax are used together to make up the base of this irresistible balm. Beeswax is a key ingredient in many lip balms or chap sticks for good reason. It contains antibacterial qualities, making it ideal for cracked lips. Similar to beeswax, coconut oil is also a natural moisturiser for the lips which can help assist in healing cracked lips.
We’ve also added in a few drops of rose oil, not only for its beautiful scent but also for its repairing and healing properties, especially for dry and chapped lips.
If you live in a hot climate, make sure you store your lip balm in the fridge so the coconut oil doesn’t melt.
